No Pedroia, No Ellsbury and the Genius Bobby Valentine allowed the Yankees to score 8 runs of Clay Buchholz. I guess its payback to the O’s for taking the Boston franchise down last year.
Alex Cobb was too tough last night and combine that with an uncharacteristic error from Manny and the O’s went down. But not without a fight. 5-3 2 on with Thome and Reynolds up—not bad. But it just didnt happen.
Meanwhile Oakland leads Texas 3-2 in the 5th. An Oakland win knocks out Tampa and the Angels, but draws Oakland even with us. If we would tie Oakland we would be forced to go there for the wild card game provided we dont pass the Yanks.. I’ll report the final if I am still up.
