Vestiges of the Stallions remain all over ythis win for Scott. Toronto’s GM—Jim Popp a brilliant personnel guy with the Stallions. . Scott first came into the CFL as an assistant to the late Don Mathews, former Coach of the Stallions.
When veteran fullback Jeff Johnson re-signed with the Argos last Dec. 30, one of the first calls he received was from Milanovich, welcoming him back. That impressed the 13-year CFL veteran. Many coaches put philosophies and schemes in place, Johnson explained, but waver when things begin to falter. Not Milanovich, even when Toronto was 7-9. He remained committed to the blueprint, making Johnson a champ for only the second time in his career.”For a guy who’s relatively inexperienced, Scott’s a genius. I hold him in the utmost respect,” Johnson said. “The Argos are going to do very well for many years with him.”
Well done, Scott.
