Some facts about the game last night:
The Terps only have 8 available players. Tianna, Alyssa, and Alicia DeVaughn all fouled out so the Terps were playing with their only 5 available players. I assume Brenda might gather a few walkons just for emergency situations.
That being said the squad ran Virginia into the ground. The Hoos shot 25 % from the field and were out rebounded 50-29. Not many games will be won under that scenario.
72 foul shots and a combined 43 turnovers slowed the game down. Freshman Tierney Pfirman finished with 17 points.
Brenda on Chloe Pavlech:
“She is just showing a great level of toughness. You can see that on both ends of the floor. Defensively, she has assignments and I thought she did tremendously with them. Offensively she managed the team really well tonight. She is doing a great job, and has been key in us starting to get some continuity in our play.”
Chloe was solid tonight –playing 35 minutes with only 2 turnovers and 6 assists.
Alyssa Thomas let the game come to her tonight and had a dominant game, scoring 20, with 11 rebounds and 5 assists. I had a chance to speak with her post game: Memo-39
