Where Do We Go From Here? Skins Defeat Ravens 31-28

Some points here you might not read elsewhere:

During the course of a season breaks usually even out. 4th and 29—Cowboys miss a game winning FG—Browns throwing in end zone as time runs out—

Pretty impressive that this is the Ravens first 2 game losing streak in 54 games

Torrey was 4 yards behind Josh Wilson when Joe underthrew him

Though Joe was pretty good today (QB rating of 121) how could he get stripped again in the manner as last week?

Here is the Ravns playoff scenario as I see it:

One more win and the Ravens clinch the division no matter what Cinci and Pittsburgh do

A loss by either Pitt or Cinci this week and the ravens clinch a playoff spot—win or lose vs Denver

The only way the Ravens can’t make the playoffs is as follows—The Ravens lose all 3, and Cinci and Pitt tie next week as well as win their 2 remaining games

By the way, the bye is still in play—we need New England to lose to Houston Monday and we have to win out

As usual a tremendous Ravens away crowd

The Ravens needed Cundiff to still be on the Skins

For those of you who believe the Ravens are done and will lose out–wake up tey will not lose to the Mannings at home. Think M&T will be fired up when Ray returns next week?

I was hoping the Ravens lost the OT toss. No way Cousins would have scored. By the way why didn’t we blitz him.

RG3 was phenomenal but he can not continually take the beating he took Sunday. Haloti was great in this game.

In Bmore we are spoiled by our tremendous access and egress to the Stadium. It was incredible to see thousands of people leave the stadium as the Redskins were driving in order to beat the crowd

Very strong Baltimore contingent in the Press Box

the ravens had an 8 pt lead with less than 6 min to go in the game. the defense and special teams gave it up. the ravens are a flawed team. the o line isn’t very good. the receivers seldom get separation though bruce will tell you everytime smith is open yet not mention the many times he is covered like a blanket which is far too many times. the defense hasn’t played well. sure they have a lot of injuries but most teams do. i don’t think the offensive and defensive
co codinators are very good as well. flacco is better than average but he’s not an all pro so the other elements of the team need to be good on a more consistent basis and they are not at this time. they play like a .500 club who had some good breaks to get them where they are now record wise. i don’t see them winning 2 more games this year. the giants will pound the ball and run over them opening up the passing game for eli and peyton will pick them apart. it’s hard to play a 3-4 defense when you don’t have any linebackers.

Agree completely Fred, but am starting to think the coordinators may be falling on the sword to protect the mediocrity of the personnel.
Flacco is very limited mentally, not being quick to adjust and recognize. He is the Peyton antithesis.
So I see Cameron trying to simplify everything to accommodate Joe’s limitations.
I also think this is true of Rice as an every own back. I see Rice as a 3rd down and occasional sub type. He is not big or strong enough to consistently pound between the tackles. Perhaps he should be spread out more, but Pierce showed what a bigger back can do with size and speed in a ground it out attack.
The D is as un talented as any 9-4 team I can remember. The Dline makes so few stops and the linebackers are just overmatched. Lacking the speed and skills to throttle even Medicare offenses.
The league is not very strong and thus the record which belies the obvious weaknesses and disappointing viewing.
