Indiana /Butler game was incredible. One of the better non tourney games in recent memory.
One incredible play after another by both teams.
Butler won after blowing a 7point lead in the last minutes, with exceptional play by Indiana. Then Butler wins it in o/t, with 3 starters fouled out.
You watch the quality of play, especially the guard play, and you realize what Turgeon is seeking, but realize how far the Terps are from this level, now.
The Wiz were up against it last night. Revenge from having beaten the Heat 3straight, as well as in Miami, worst roster in Wiz/Bullets history and the Refs.
Am an NBA devote and the refereeing rivals the NFL for worst in sports. It’s a shame, the skill level is the best, but the protection of the “stars” is embarrassing.
I have some reticence re leaving the ACC. With the addition of Syracuse, Pitt , Notre Dame and Louisville, and perhaps eventually U. Conn, it will be the premier basketball league again.
Also there are so many more natural rivalries now than in the Big 10.
The ACC has made a great recovery. Even if they eventually lose Clemson and Fl State to the SEC.
Lo I understand the financials and the other benefits. But…
