today’s coaching rumor story. roy williams retires after this year as nc has terrible year and roy convinces his former protege mark turgeon to coach at chapel hill. i think if turgeon ever left md it would be for 3 jobs. nc because of roy, kansas because that’s home or ky if cal left and recommended turgeon who is a close friend and both were at ks the same time.

First of all Turgeon has not won anything yet. He needs to establish some creds before he is in that category.
Also he lies this team . Perhaps he big 10 shift dies not it well with him, which could eventually be a factor.
Maybe if Len goes, which I do not project him as the supposed lottery pick, like so many, at this point.That would be ironic, as Gary suddenly retired the week after Williams declared for the 2010 draft
It was interesting how many empty seats there were for the UNC/ Miami game.
Has anyone gotten less out of talent than Roy at UNC, other than Roy at KU?
mik my comments where somewhat tongue in cheek and as you know it’s easier to type those comments rather than verbalizing them. hard to talk with your tongue in cheek. but alot of it does make some sense because of turge’s relationships with cal and roy. i do think he’d be kansas’ first choice if bill self lft in the enxt couple of yrs. but something unusally wuld have to occur for self to leave. he’s signed thru 2021 or something and he’s not going to the nba…nor is roy or cal or turge.
