“The Greatest Ravens Win Ever” Ravens 38 Denver 35 in Double OT

Just a few random comments after watching the most enjoyable Ravens victory in history

Will all Flacco doubters please leave the building. Joe was stupendous especially his 70 yard pass (55 in the air) to Jacobi Jones in the waning seconds to send the game to OT. Thank you Denver secondary (Rahim Moore for letting JJ get behind you. A simple tackle on Jones might have allowed the Ravens 1 play for a TD sice the purple had no timeouts remaining. GIVE JOE HIS CONTRACT ALREADY!!!!!!

Torrey!!! Torrey !! Torrey!!—Champ Bailey. Torrey torched Bailey 3 times and Joe connected on 2 for TDs.The Terrapins got some tremendous loving throughout the country.

I picked Denver to win 27-21 and that was optimistic. Maybe Peyton can’t play in cold weather because 18 ws sure mediocre tonight.Flacco outplayed 18 plain and simple. The offensive line did a great job for Joe allowing only 1 sack and that was a coverage sack.

The Ravens went to Rice time and again on first down late in the game and it just didn’t work. I guess they had to get him his 30 touches for us to win.

Corey Graham, cary Williams we have to believe now.

Let’s see after the punt return I thought we were dead. After our quick 2 TDS I thought we were winners.  Back and forth it went like this all day.

A couple of stupid John Fox decisions. 38 seconds left in regulation, you are at Mile High Stadium, you have the supposed best QB in the game and you take 2 knees? Trying a 52 yard FG as time is running out in the first half—-whick gave the Ravens tremendous field position when the kick was chunked.

Freddy’s prediction on Jan 11—“all 9 writers for the usa today picked denver. denver is the better team but i’m going back to the ray rice 4th and 29 play as a sign saying this is our year. a miracle play though a true miracle would be my brother-in-law picking up a check. ravens 27 denver 24 jacoby jones makes a big play and kruger hits manning and causes a big fumble.

Hook em Horns—-Justin Tucker’s 47 yard FG was never in doubt but don’t forget he was a Longhorn.

For my money, I want New England!!!!!!!!

a great deal of credit must go to the offensive line which was rebuilt just last week. no qb or running back will ever play well on a consistent basis without the big men in the trenches. one thing i didn’t know which dan dierdoff pointed out yesterday was that flacco had great speed. who knew? if i’m a denver fan i’m calling champ bailey chump bailey. looked liked he got paid off by some mobsters to fix the game. as good as he was when denver played at balt earlier this year that’s how bad he looked yesterday. flacco’s 3rd down pass to pitta from near their own goal line late in the game was a thing of beauty. not a lot of qb’s can make that throw. if i’m flacco i’m telling my naysayers..be fruitful and multiply, but not in those exact words. in other words go **** yourself.

A team win, against impossible odds.
Once again though playing not to lose as Denver did, by not allowing Peyton to throw in their last regulation offensive series, which seemed reasonable by most standards, gave the Ravens the “chance” they needed.
Peyton was amazing, with incredibly accurate passes throughout. It is obvious that he is lacking arm strength , but not wily intelligence along with great anticipation.

This definitely feels like a team of ” destiny”!
I predicted a 20/17 Ravens win, if Flacco delivered.
Of course our special teams were dismal, but was more than compensated with Joe, the defense and the rejuvenated offensive line.

We totally shut down their running game, and with the boneheaded redundance of Rice off left tackle runs, we kept the game close.

It just seems as Flacco goes the Ravens go.
Joe had a great day, with many, many dropped passes.

    Amazing game!

Easy there Fred, I was only referencing Manning’s performance, so that the excuse of Manning not playing well, was removed from the conversation.
And the credit could be given to Flacco and the entire Raven team, where the praise belongs.
