Junior forward Alyssa Thomas of 10th-ranked Maryland scored a season-high 28 points and added 10 boards and eight assists to lead the Terps to a 66-57 win at Georgia Tech Sunday at McCamish Pavilion.
The Terrapins (15-3, 6-1 ACC) dominated the inside game to secure the win. The nation’s top rebounding team controlled the boards, 52-29, and outscored the Jackets (8-10, 1-6) inside by 14. Tianna Hawkins added 16 points and 14 boards and Alicia DeVaughn added 11 points and 12 rebounds.
