16 steals tells the story of this game. Duke got away with some very physical play on the steals and overcame a 2nd half surge by Maryland. Every time Alyssa Thomas got the ball she was virtually grabbed, pushed, or knocked down but she only went to the line 3 times. Duke went to the line 22 times –Maryland 11. Brenda was so upset and concerned that she recieived a double technical and ejection with 3 minutes left. It was jsut 1 ugly game that the refs allowed to get out of control. Duke comes to College park on Feb 24 probably for the last time.
