Sophomore center fielder Charlie White has earned National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) National Hitter of the Week honors for his performance against Oakland this past weekend, the association announced Tuesday.
For White, the award comes a day after the sophomore was named Louisville Slugger’s National Players of the Week by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper and Atlantic Coast Conference Co-Player of the Week.
In a four-game set against the Golden Grizzlies, White went 10-for-15 (.667) at the plate with three doubles, scored six runs, drove in five runs and stole 10 bases.
