Listen, the Ravens might just don’t have the cap room to pay Ellerbe. That’s just the way it goes in the salary cap world. Losing Boldin to me would be a greater loss. Somehow Boldin went from reading a prepared exit statement thanking the fans from Baltimore, to a holding pattern. You just gave Flacco 120 million. At this point Boldin is needed and we all know why. Let’s get this done.
Staying pat is not the answer. Certain guys will be lost. To play in another Super Bowl, the Ravens must shore up the weaknesses and get better. New talent needs to be infused into this lineup. The next 3 days will be extremely interesting. When the dust settles, I believe that Boldin and McKinnie will still be Ravens. Ellerbe, Kruger, Vary Williams will be elsewhere.
