Trailing 3-2 in the seventh inning, Greg Olenski doubled to center field to spark a seven-run bottom of the inning to help Maryland (11-5, 1-2) defeat Marist, 9-3, Tuesday at Bob “Turtle” Smith to extend its home unbeaten streak to nine.
After Maryland starting pitcher Jake Drossner went one inning, the Terps received a stout performance from the bullpen as six different pitchers held Marist (4-7) to one run over the final eight innings. Jaime Pashuck entered in the second and pitched three scoreless innings while holding the Red Foxes to three hits to keep the Terps in the game.
