Get this straight–there is 1 and only 1 Lebron James. jeff Green scored 43 for the Celtics tonight to no avail as LeBron led the Heat to a comeback victory to become the 2nd team ever to win 23 games in a row. They are now chasing the 71-72 Lalers who hold the record at 33 in 1971-72. The Bullets were a key victim in that streak at Civic Center. On Dec. 22, they beat the Bullets 127-120 to make it 27 in a row, surpassing the longest winning steak in major league sports, 26 games by baseball’s 1916 New York Giants. They extended their streak to 33 consecutive wins by beating the Hawks 134-90 on Jan. 7, 1972, before finally losing to the Bucks 120-104 two nights later. I remember being there that night but can’t recall anything about the game except that the lakers were one of the greatest road shows ever with Wilt, Elgin Baylor, Jerry West and Gail Goodrich.
freddy from boca
elgin wasn’t a part of that lakers team. jim mcmillen from columbia was the “3rd”star behind west and goodrich as wilt was more like the number 4 player. pat riley was a reserve, also i believe hap hairston of nyu was on this team.
