The final minutes of this game were amazing. The Rangers down 2 men allowed the Caps to just freely pass the puck. But for some reason the Caps were not firing at the net, just looking for the perfect play. They never found it and thus we might just have a battle here. To my naive eye, the Caps look like a much better team.
I don’t think Mike Ribeiro would shoot the puck if there was an empty net. He compromised the cCps chances late in the game by using valuable seconds. The Rangers were giving him the shot and he just held the puck or pass it on.
