What a nightmare 24 hours. The Carolina women defeat Maryland and ruin the Terps’ perfect season and then I have to suffer through watching a Duke team easily defeat Syracuse to capture what I truly believed would be Maryland’s this season.
There is such a fine line between elimination and a NCAA Championship. Think back to Duke Loyola just 2 weeks back. An ill timed timeout by Loyola coach Charlie Toomey erased a winning goal by Loyola and allowed Duke to win in overtime. Could Loyola have repeated? Maybe.
Every team will have to examine the madness that is the mind of John Danowski. Every year he brings the Devils along slowly , allowing them to find themselves. Mid March hits and the intersity is ramped up. There is no burnout, and thus 7 straight final fours is the proof of his theory.
