Maryland has been on the lookout for defensive line recruits, and on June 24 they landed an under-the-radar edge rusher from Edinboro, Pa. General McLane High’s Brett Kulka, a 6-foot-5, 230-pound two-way lineman, earned his Terps offer less than a month ago and committed to UMD while on campus Monday.
“I’m excited to say I’m a Maryland Terp,” Kulka said. “I just talked to Coach [Randy] Edsall and he was telling me how much of a good fit I would be, and he was looking forward to working with me in the future.
“I stayed real humble about it and said I was looking forward to working with him as well. I just felt really welcome there, and I wanted to be at Maryland.”
