Panathinaikos Athens re-signed forward James Gist for two more seasons, the Greek champs announced Monday. Gist (2.06 meters, 26 years old) joined the Greens in a mid-season trade with Unicaja Malaga and proceeded to average 7.8 points, 4.4 rebounds and 0.8 blocks in 22 minutes over 19 Turkish Airlines Euroleague games in helping the team reach the playoffs. He was also among Panathinaikos’s top players in the Greek League, where he helped the club recapture the title. Gist has played a total of three Euroleague seasons to date with four clubs. He debuted with Partizan Belgrade in 2010, signed for Fenerbahce Ulker Istanbul the following season and split time with Unicaja and Panathinaikos last season. For all those team Gist has provided regular highlights in the forms of high-flying dunks and spectacular blocks. Before suiting up in the Euroleague, Gist had also played in Italy for Pallacanestro Biella and in Russia for Lokomotiv Kuban
