15 Former Terps in World Cup Play beginning Friday
The University of Maryland women’s lacrosse program will be heavily represented when the 2013 FIL World Cup kicks off in Oshawa, Canada Thursday.

A total of 15 former Terrapins will be either suiting up to play for their respective countries or will serve as coaches in the world championship, held every four years.  Australia boasts five former Maryland standouts, Canada has three, the United States has two and England, Ireland and Wales each have one.

Team USA captured its sixth title in 2009 with the help of former Terps Caitlyn McFadden and Acacia Walker.

Below is a breakdown of each Maryland-represented team and its schedule for the opening round of the championship:
