2014 Recruit Gilman’s Melvin Keihn On Terps Radar

from Dave Lomonico of the terrapin times.com

After taking return trips to Maryland and Virginia in June, Baltimore (Md.) Gilman linebacker Melvin Keihn has been football focused in July. The 6-foot-3, 220-pound four-star recruit has put recruiting on the backburner for now, what with workouts in full swing in addition to a summer 7-on-7 league Gilman competes in.

“To tell you the truth it’s just been work right now,” Keihn said. “I’ve been playing a lot of tight end in 7-on-7 and that’s been fun. Basically we’re just getting ready for the season, going over some things we need to get better at and trying to get better as a group.”

Keihn originally wanted to have his college decision made by this time so he wouldn’t have to worry about recruiting at all. But he hasn’t been able to make all the visits he’d hoped to, forcing him to wait a bit before announcing.
