Holy Disaster—Dennis Pitta, Supposedly Anquan’s Replacement a Possession Receiver, Reported by ESPN to be Out For The Year With Dislocated Hip Injury

You can’t spin this one. The injury to Pitta might spell disaster for the offense. There were already question marks about the possibility of Pitta becoming Flacco’s go to guy. But now who is left. Torrey is our #1 but facing double teams just how effective can he be? Could the Ravens bring in Dallas Clark for a look see?

The Harvard kid was apparently not too impressive at blocking yesterday. It’s time for the Ravens to close the Vonta Leach deal. Should there be problems with the passing game, Vonta will be needed for a return to the running game. There are so many questions now about the offense. One thing is for certain, Jacoby Jones’ role as a receiver has mushroomed. Can we afford to have him returning kickoffs?

Not a great day at the Castle.

a note to the casual ravens fan. leach is an outstanding blocker which helps the running game. he doesn’t carry the ball too many times. also if they had leach he would help the passing game. with pitta out the ravens may throw the ball downfiled more often which takes more time to execute. leach would be like having an extra offensive lineman in the game to help protect flacco.
