Kevin Boss
Kevin Boss is somewhat underrated in my opinion. He was drafted by the New York Giants and played there for four seasons. After that time he spent one year in Oakland and, most recently, one year in Kansas City. Throughout his career he has recorded 2,033 yards on 150 catches and 22 touchdowns. Boss is also responsible for 98 first downs throughout his career. Kevin Boss is not considered to be a great tight end but I believe that he could become a good tight end. He has played in double digit games for almost his entire career, last season he played in only 2 according to ESPN. A team in need of a tight end should definitely at least give Boss a workout opportunity because he has some potential to be a good tight end.
Dallas Clark
Despite his age, currently 34 years old, Dallas Clark is still a great tight end. After spending 10 seasons in Indianapolis he was released by the team and signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Last season he recorded 47 catches for 435 yards and 4 touchdowns. That was good enough for his fourth highest receptions throughout his career. Clark would best serve a team as a “band-aid” player for an NFL team. This means that he would be a good pickup for one, maybe two, seasons and allow a team some time to draft and/or develop a tight end to replace Clark. Hell if Kellen Winslow can get a contract Clark should have some chance afforded him.
