*Chinanu Onuaku- Nanu continued to improve his stock nationally with a strong summer on the circuit. He would appear to be the Terps’ best bet to landing a big in the Class of 2014.
*Trayvon Reed- Reed appears to be a much bigger version of Nickens, in that he’ll need to really bulk up once he gets to college. Watching him recently in the Super Showcase showed me that he’s not quite ready for the physical nature of college basketball, but at 7-0 with loads of athleticism, there is no doubt he possesses a world of potential. Terps still have a shot here, but we still see Auburn or Georgia Tech as the teams to beat.
*Gary Clark- This latest offer showed up big in Vegas, including a dynamic 25 point, 12 rebound effort against the New Jersey Playaz. Clark’s that ultra athletic 6-7 forward who does a little bit of everything, while playing over the rim. We see NCS leading, with Maryland and Wake in strong contention.
*Dominique Uhl- Still another recent offer to this 6-8 slender German who burst on the scene at the Reebok Breakout Challenge with a string of scintillating performances. He projects as another long, athletic, “off the bounce” type forward who has very good mid range skills. Temple, Iowa, BC, PSU, Md , ND, and NW are all in the mix. Uhl was a recent ‘find,’ by Scott Spinelli, and it appears as though the Terps are solid contenders for this late developing high riser.
