i thought duffner played really smart, exceptional golf. not a lot of drama. basically match play for the final round. no real great shots. just very steady play by duffner. didn’t see the trophy presentation but if duffner didn’t show much emothion there i feel badly for him. he barely broke a smile after his last putt. looked like he felt obligated to hug his wife. to play golf as many years and practice literally thousands and thousands of hours to win a major and react the way he did is sad. i had a bigger smile on my face for his win then he did. hopefully after the nerves and pressure dissipated he enjoyed his win. my guess is that maybe 10% of all golfers if that win a major. my guess is also in a week 90% of casual sports fan won’t remember the winner of this year’s pga. beautiful golf course but too many low scores for a major.
