Buck says “No changes in the closer role—as Johnson Blows another save –Dbacks defeat the O’s 4-3

Here’s my problem:

It seems like the instant Johnson falls behind a batter, he is done. Dempsey said postgame if the batter doesn’t chase his sinker, they just sit back and clobber his fastball. On the other hand FRod look unhittable tonight.  Even Tom Davis questioned why a move isn’t being made. Gary Thorne asked Buck post game about whether or not a change was going to be made. Buck said no, we have to worry about the 7th and 8th innings as well.

Crush hit #44 tonight which puts him on a pace for 60

Paul Goldschmidt tied the game in the 9th with a HR off Johnson and then won it in the 11 going deep off TJ McFarlund

The o’s are 65-54 –trail Boston by 6 games and Tampa by 3 in the loss column

Last year lead off batters hit .200 off Johnson–this year 315

Blown Saves –AL East             Orioles 19      Boston 17   Toronto   13    Tampa 13      Yankees   8
