#2 Terps Tie Penn State 1-1 in Exhibition Contest

The No. 2 Maryland men’s soccer team tied Penn State 1-1 in exhibition action Tuesday night at Jeffrey Field.

Following a Mark Wadid goal for Penn State in the seventh minute, Patrick Mullins gave Maryland the equalizer in the 37th minute on a penalty kick.

The Terps outshot Penn State 13-3 in the match and held the Nittany Lions without a corner kick while registering six of their own.

Maryland welcomes St. John’s on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Ludwig Field for its final test before the season officially begins Aug. 30 at Stanford.
