If you followed me on Twitter this afternoon, you know I enjoyed every minute of the game today. I know it was FIU but the offense still had to execute and it did.
CJ ran for 2 TDS and threw for 3. FIU was overplaying Stefon all day which resulted in single coverage on Deon Long. CJ took advantage of this hitting Deon 9 times for 110 yards. For those of you who questioned CJ’s passing ability, he was 20-23 almost all pinpoint passes. For the most part his employment of the read option was excellent.
Coach Edsall complained about some of the tackling but my eyes saw a great swarming defense. FIU went 3 and out 7 times out of 8 in the 1st half. The defense allowed only 171 yds, many long after the game was virtually over. LA Goree lead the Terps defense with 10 tackles Next up–Saturday at 430 vs Old Dominion
Stefon was his usual electrifying self contributing 194 all purpose yards incuding 1 TD on a 66 yard pass from CJ.
Gilman’s Kenny Goins scored a TD ona 17 yard pass from CJ.
Brad Craddock was 3-3 on his F attempts but missed an PAT–worrisome
Caleb Rowe played the 4th quarter at QB. He was 5-6 for 44 yards

c j has made great strides in throwing the football. he looked very comfortable yesterday. congrats to him getting his first win as a qb. diggs could start for ala, southern cal..any school. md did exactly what you would have hoped they would do to fiu. beat a bad team convincingly.
