maybe norris could be the wildcard for the o’s. norris could be a pitcher who could really help the stretch. he has pretty good stuff but has had trouble commanding it. yesterday he kept his pitch count down and went deep into the gme. if he could get hot it would certainly help the o’s. you just can’t have your starters going 5 innings and giving up 4 runs. forget about how many games you think the team needs to get into the playoffs. you have to look at how many games they need to catch the team in front of them. 2 games can be made up in 2 nights. in a week you could be 3 ahead. 10 days ago the rays were tied for first and now they’ve lost 8 out of 9. go back 2 weeks, 4 weeks and look at the standings. things can change fast in baseball because they play everyday. oakland now is ahead of texas. people gave up on the yankees and indians weeks ago but they are still hanging around. most orioles fans gave up after the arizona series. baseball is like the weather. wait a few minutes and things change. right now for the o’s it looks like the storm clouds are waning and the sun is starting to shine. of course after tonight it could be raining again or it could be brighter. meantine it’s 87 degrees at the airport and i don’t know anybody who livesat the airport. downtown is hot. downtown’s on fire. wind today 5 to 10 mph except gusts up to 90 mph. dark tonight. continuing dark throughout the night turning partly light in the morning.
