Some comments on a miserable start to the season:
It’s only one game so lets not panic–when you looked t the schedule you had to figure Denver on the road would be in the loss column and it was
Injury to Michael Oher could really damage the Ravens chances
Marlon Brown proved the exhibition season was no fluke–as he caught his first TD pass
First thing I heard post game was that Ray Rice has to run the ball more. Don’t these experts watch–he ran the ball 12 times for 30 yards–it wasn’t effective
Time has passed Dallas Clark by–His drop of a perfectly thrown TD pass late in the 1st half started the Ravens on a downhill spiral. Furstenburg NEVER would have dropped that pass. I am not so sure Freddy or Wayne Viener would have dropped that pass.
Matt Elam get ready –I am sure you will play a pivotal role next week
Joe was 34-62 for 362 yards
Every kickoff went out of the end zone-It’s becoming a tedious boring play
Watchin John Elway smiling makes me sick–still can’t standhim
Vonta Leach was pivotal for the ravens early on
I do appreciate that the Ravens fought down to final moments
Harbaugh was as terse and upset as I have ever seen him post game. His facial expression when asked about Clarke’s drop made it clear that Clark is probably headed to the highway.
Harbaugh’s contract was extended for 4 years before the game at 7million per year so excuse me for a lack of sympathy for our great coach
What in the heck were the Coaches in the booth doing when nobody saw Welker’s drop—It absolutely turned the game around
An “announced” crowd of 17,000 attended the O’s game tonight. Draw your own conclusion

the game was competitive for a quarter and a half. the missed call on the “drop” was big but there was plenty of time left in the game to overcome that play. and that play didn’t create a score on its own, though it helped set up a score. big difference. the ravens were out played in the trenches. funny bruce makes no mention of torrey smith’s game or lack of game last night. smith was never double teamed so you can’t use that as an excuse. he was downright horrible. it looked like he attached himself to the defender all night. that’s how little separation he had. the tight ends were bad. brandon stockley played liked a 37 year old. jacoby jones looked good but took a bad hit from his teammate. the o line’s poor play stymied the running and passing game. flacco never looked really good at all last night. manning was rarely pressured when the game was competitive and picked apart the ravens. special teams weren’t so special. the loss of bouldin and pitta was obvious from the get go. only one game but a terrible beginning. you see when you lose 12 starters it’s not that easy to be good right away like so many ravens fans expected. the ravens have a lot of work ahead of them. and the comment on furstenburg would never dropped that pass. furstenburg has never caught a pass in the nfl so using the term never is ridiculous. that said certainly i think he should get some playing time because i think he would have caught that pass and several more. as for the orioles crowd. it’s sept. the team has been losing so 17,000 on a week night for a bad white sox team isn’t bad at all. cleve drew 9,000 vs balt. in a meaningful game for the tribe. it was probably a real good night for local bookies because i’sm sure most ravens fans who wagered took the points. when was the last time you remember an nfl qb throwing 7 td passes in a game. gary cuozzo once threw 5 vs the vikings which was the record for a balto colts qb. when was the lst time you remember a college qb throwing for 7 td’s in a game. that’s a lot of td’s passes. most qb’s have trouble throwing 7 in a month

the last nfl qb to throw 7 td passes in one game was joe kapp, minn vikings, in 1969. of course kapp had a oscar worth performance in the movie the longest yard, starring former fl st flanker back burt reynolds.
