#21 Women’s Soccer Falls to Hokies 2-0

The No. 21 University of Maryland women’s soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to No. 23 Virginia Tech Thursday evening in front of 1,334 at Ludwig Field.

The loss drops the Terps to 5-3-0 on the season and evens their ACC mark at 1-1-0. The Hokies improve to 7-1-1 overall and are now 2-1-0 in conference play.

“This was certainly not a great performance by our team tonight,” said Maryland head coach Jonathan Morgan. “Give credit to Virginia Tech, they beat us in every facet of the game. We were out of synch, didn’t compete the way that we’re capable of or that’s typical of us and in turn we didn’t get the result we wanted.”   from umterps.com
