Ravens Suffer Humiliating 23-20 Loss to Buffalo as Flacco Chucks 5 INTS and the Team Falls on A Very Questionable Coaching Decision

This team at this point bears no resemblance to the Super Bowl Champion of last year.

#1 I don’tcare what anyone says, the loss of Anquan was glaring yesterday. 4th quarter 1st and 10 from the 11 there was just no one to go to for a one on one  as Torrey was covered by at least 2 men.

#2 4th and 3 from the 5–Down 23–17 why in the world wouldn’t Harbaugh take a chance and go for the game leading TD. You have a $20 million QB and you can’t trust him to go 4 yards? Even if he doesnt pick it up, the Bills would have been at its own 5 yard line, which for EJ Manuel was a disaster waiting to happen. I will never understand the call for a FG. There were just too many possibilities that could have gone wrong even after Tucker closed thegap to 23-20. One first down would have ended the game. For the Ravens to have tied the game it was going to take 40 yards or so and then rely on Tucker to hit a 40 plus FG–no guarantee at all. I just don’t get it. The same kind of conservative play on the road probably cost the Browns and Houston a victory at the bank. When you go into the Lion’s den you must ROAR.  Maybe I am wrong but that’s my take.

Torrey has a super game catching 5 passes for 165 yards including 1TD

On In the Nest this morning I stated that this game had all the elements of a trap game. Despite the fact that the Ravens were so pathetic–they still had many chances to win the game. But not today.

The running game was non existent.

Ed Dickson continues to drop passes and today one of the drops turned into an INT. Will we see Matt Furstenberg soon?

Before he left the game with a concussion, I was extremely impressed with the play of Deonte Thompson. Dennis Koulatsos has been touting his abilities for weeks and now I know he was right.

the loss of bouldin was evident in the first game of the season. we’re now 4 games in. it’s time to stop whinning about the loss of bouldin. it’s a dead subject. move on. kudos for dennis recognizing thompson’s talent. but as with any player, they need to shw consistency game in and game out. let’s se if he progresses. the biggest problem appears to be the offensive line which is not opening holes for the running backs. if you can’t run you’re going to have problems passing. and if you can’t run the ball and have problems passing you’re going to put a lot of pressure on your defense. it’s a recipe for a long season.
