Bullets errrr. Wizards Return to Bmore Before Sold Out Civic Center

Some observations of the 1st NBA Game of any kind in Baltimore in 14 years:photo-115

Walking around the arena before the game brought back memories of when I used to go to the Civic Center 45 years ago with Roman, Switz, and Rocky either for a Bullets game or a Clippers game where we would skate around the rink post game. Those were the days.

Kevin "Murph" Loughery

Ray Rice, Torrey, Murph, Bob Ferry Ted Leonsis , Ernie Grunfeld were all in the house Thursday.

For my money John Wall looked great —wheeling and dealing in the first half. If he can stay healthy all year look for a plus 40 win season

Hard to believe the Civic Center is still our main arena. It was built in 1964 and was antiquated then. However the place didn’t look that bad

Melo received polite applause at his intro and played well

The Wizards were 1-15 from the 3 point line. Not a great sign

Wall and Bradley Beal will make a great one-two punch this year

I wonder how Alex is doing in Phoenix

So the Wizards lose to the Knicks and I head home.  Tomorrow night it’s Maryland madness at Cole.
