#1 Terps Squash Hoyas 9-0 on Senior Day— Top-ranked Maryland field hockey cruised to a 9-0 win over Georgetown Sunday in the Terrapins’ annual Senior Day game in College Park. Sophomore Sarah Sprink notched her second career hat trick in the rout.

Maryland (17-1, 5-0 ACC) honored its six seniors – Ali McEvoyChristine KnaussHayley TurnerJill Witmer,Shelby Sydnor and Natalie Hunter –  prior to the game. This year’s senior class compiled a record of 76-12 (.864) since 2010. In their three postseasons, they went to the Final Four every year, won two NCAA championships and an ACC title.

Terps (Women’s Soccer) Falls to BC 1-0

It was a disappointing ending to a quality effort for the University of Maryland women’s soccer team, which suffered a 1-0 overtime loss to Boston College Sunday afternoon at Ludwig Field.

The loss evens the Terps’ overall record at 9-9-0 and gives them a 5-7-0 mark in conference play with one game left in the regular season. The Eagles improved to 9-8-1 on the year and 5-6-1 in the ACC.

 #12 Terps Soccer Defeats Orangemen 1-0

Junior Dan Metzger scored the lone goal as the No. 12 Maryland men’s soccer team shut out Syracuse 1-0 on the road Saturday night.
Metzger tallied his second goal of the season in the 56th minute to give the Terps’ (8-3-5, 5-1-33 ACC)
