Maryland place kicker Brad Craddock has been named one of the 20 semifinalists for the 2013 Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Award, the Palm Beach County Sports Commission announced on Monday.
Craddock is one of 15 new semifinalists joining four returnees from last season including 2012 award winner Cairo Santos of Tulane.
This season, Craddock has made 15-of-18 field goal attempts and is 14-of-15 from 49 yards or less. Craddock converted his season long of 50 yards against West Virginia on Sept. 21.
The sophomore is averaging 1.88 field goals per game, which ranks second in the ACC and ranks seventh among FBS schools.
