It was a certainly a great way to finish up ACC Conference play forever. Maryland domination in all 3 phases of the game and coasted to its easiest ACC win of the year. CJ was special today, throwing for 2 TDs and running for 3 more. The offensive line allowed 0 sacks and allowed CJ to go vertical many times. CJ finished with a QB rating of 165.4.
I had very little doubt Maryland would win today despite the recent tough losses to the Wolfpack. This victory assures Maryland a bowl berth and with 7 wins perhaps a notch up the scale. More important the victory clearly indicated a growth in the program and will allow Coach Edsall an extra month of practice and provide the team and its loyal followers with an exciting post season appearance.
Defensively the Terps held State scoreless in the 4th quarter and actuallystopped them 3 times on downs. Matt Robinson led the Terps with 17 tackles while Freshman Will Likely had 11. Andre Monroe had 2 sacks today.
So now the speculation is where will the Terps be headed for the bowl. Patrick Stevens and rivals.com both believe the Terps will be heading to Annapolis for the Military Bowl to face East Carolina.
