Chastain was selected for All-Star Team at 2013 Prep School Showcase in Connecticut.
Gonzaga (Washington, D.C.) sophomore Henry Chastain has verbally committed to play men’s lacrosse for Maryland.
The 5-foot-9, 165-pound defenseman and long-stick midfielder also considered Ohio State and Penn State.
“I ultimately chose the University of Maryland for its great academics, outstanding coaching staff: (Coach Tillman, Coach Conry, and Coach Moran) and for the opportunity to play lacrosse at a school with great tradition. Go Terps!” Chastain said.
A lefty and two-year Varsity hockey and lacrosse defenseman, Chastain was a member of 2013 WCAC Championship team and participated in the National High School Lacrosse Showcase. He attended the BRINE Shootout and Terp Young Gun Shootout with Gonzaga.
