What a weekend! First on Saturday the Terps were thrashed by Boston University and then there was the Patriots game. Most likely the whole season collapsed for the Ravens. Let’s analyze why.
If you listened to In the Nest yesterday I was pretty clear, that without a healthy Joe , we were in trouble. When Joe failed to reach Torrey who was 25 yards open, I knew we were in for a loooonnnngggg day.
Maybe Joe just should have not played yesterday. His QB rating was 25, he seemed to playing in total mental and physical confusion. Bur here’s the real problem. His backup Tyrod Taylor never has played any significant minutes for the Ravens. After several years we still don’t know how well he can play. For Joe ‘s first 3 years, I screamed that we better get an experienced backup for #5 but outside of Marc Bulger sticking around for a year, that wish was never granted. Fast forward to yesterday, the price was paid and it was a pretty steep price — most likely an end to the post season run.
When Justin Tucker missed a 37 yd FG everyone knew it wasn’t our day.
No complaints here, you rarely win when your franchise QB goes down.
