Towson senior Jerrelle Benimon recorded his ninth straight double-double and posted his sixth straight game with 20 or more points as the Tigers cruised past College of Charleston, 72-57, for their fifth straight win.
Towson (12-6, 3-0 Colonial Athletic Association), which is riding its longest winning streak since the 2000-01 season, has won three straight games on the road and is 3-0 in league play for the second straight year.
Benimon finished with a game-high 21 points, 11 rebounds and three assists. Senior Mike Burwell posted 18 points, his second best scoring effort of the year. The guard shot 8-for-13 from the floor and had three assists with no turnovers. from towsonsports.com
