Northeastern guard David Walker hit a 35-foot three-pointer as time expired to propel the Huskies to a dramatic 57-54 win over Towson on Wednesday night inside SECU Arena.
The Tigers (12-7, 3-1 Colonial Athletic Association), who fought back from a 21-point deficit, tied the game with six seconds left after sophomore Four McGlynn was fouled shooting a three and hit all three ensuing free throws. Walker then fired a deep three as the horn sounded which hit nothing but net to give the Huskies (6-14, 3-3 CAA) the upset win.
The loss snapped Towson’s five-game winning streak and 13-game home court winning streak, which was its longest since winning 22 straight from 1992-95. It also marked the Tigers first loss in its last eight CAA games. from towson sports.com
