Oh What a Difference a Year Makes—Gary Kubiak Hired as Offensive Coordinator as Well as His Sidekick Rich Dennison QB Coach

51 weeks ago Coach John Harbaugh was sitting on top of the world with his Super Bowl title and ability to dictate every coaching move he wanted. So long Anquan, Bernard Pollard and Ed Reed. Hello contract extension for 8 Million a year, etc. But much against the grain of most peoples thoughts, I believe that the hiring  of Gary Kubiak as head coach might be the best thing that ever happened to Harbaugh. Look I am a Harbaugh believer. Disregarding this past season, his first 5 were some of the most enjoyable years that I have ever had following Baltimore football. To think that he was not integral in the Ravens success is sheer folly. Coach Harbaugh loves the city, and the fans, I am not so sure that is his feelings for the media however.  It is absolutely incredible how one more win would have gotten the Ravens into the playoffs and taken the heat off of Harbs. IF he just would have kept Boldin. Old news.

The Ravens have never had had a superstar OC. This goes back to day one of the birth of the team in Baltimore. Well now we have a head coach as an OC who will be allowed to bring in his own staff. If he is as good as everyone says –who will benefit the most–the franchise and without question John Harbaugh. My only wish is that Kubiak finally gives us a productive offense for the 2 years he will probably be here before somewhere landing as a head coach again and he is able to prolong the Baltimore journey of Harbaugh for many years. Don’t ever forget if Lee Evans doesn’t drop the TD pass, Harbaugh might  have  coached back to back Super Bowl winners. John Harbaugh is a both a great guy and a winner.
