Senior Jerrelle Benimon scored 20 of his game-high 25 points in the second half as Towson (14-8, 5-2) won its second straight Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) game with a 75-73 victory over Drexel (11-10, 3-5) before a crowd of 3,870 in SECU Arena on Saturday afternoon.
Benimon, who shot 8-for-12 from the floor and 9-for-11 from the free throw line, posted his 11th 20-point game of the season as the Tigers shot 57.5 percent from the field, their second best shooting game of the season.
Senior Rafriel Guthrie tallied 18 points off the bench for his fifth straight game in double figures and classmate Marcus Damas scored 12 of his 16 points in the first half.
