Alyssa Thomas added her 19th double-double in 24 games and Alicia DeVaughn had a dominating second half as No. 9 Maryland women’s basketball handled Miami, 67-52, Thursday. The Terrapins (20-4, 8-3 ACC) won their fourth straight and reached the 20-win mark for the 10th time in head coach Brenda Frese’s 12 seasons.
Thomas had 18 points and 12 rebounds on the night. DeVaughn had nine points and 11 rebounds, all in the second half, in front of her hometown crowd and freshman Brionna Jones added 11 points and five boards. Sophomore Tierney Pfirman scored 10 points with four boards. from umterps.com
