This was not a classic game for many reasons. to begin with a combined 30 turnovers.
Yes the Terps suffered an emotional letdown after the devastating ending to Saturday night’s game at Cameron. Seth Alen was 2-10 from the field and was just not emotional in his 19 minutes.
Dez was 2-8 and could only muster 6 points in 31 minutes.
Nick Faust carried the day with 20 points on 7-11 shooting including4 treys in 7 attempts. Chalres Mitchell ws 6-8 from the field with 7 rebounds but yielded 5 turnovers.
Maryland got off to a horrible start scoring only 7 points in the 1st 10 minutes before they settled down.
Only 10,565 attended the game and the student sections behind the basket were somewhat empty.
The win moes the Terps to 7-7 in the ACC with 3 of the next 4 at home.
Next up: Cuse Monday night night at 7

student section empty. in state kids are paying around 24,000 a yr out of state around 43,000 a yr. that’s a lot of money not be studying or doing something more rewarding than going to see a lousy sloppy game. and why would kids want to go see 2 teams going nowhere and 2 programs that have not been relevant in years.
stop bringing up that the student section is empty. the students have better things to do. they are not obligated to watch a basketball game.
you want to be critical. be critical of the team’s performance over the last few years. maybe if the team played better more people would want to go to the games.
i’m sure the general public tickets weren’t sold out and how many of the general public tickets were available on the secondary market because people didn’t want to go to the game?
