Towson Wins 5th Straight and Record 21 Games as It Edges James Madison 69-66

Senior Jerrelle Benimon posted his NCAA-leading 19th double-double with 28 points and 16 rebounds to lead the Towson men’s basketball team to a 69-66 victory at James Madisonon Wednesday night.

With the win, Towson (21-9, 12-3 CAA) ties a program record for most victories in a season at the Division I level. The 1993-94 Tigers also won 21 games. Towson also clinched at least a second-place finish in the CAA regular season standings. The Tigers need a win and a Delaware (21-9, 13-2) loss on Saturday to claim a share of the league crown. from towson sports
