Maryland added its third offensive lineman in the Class of 2015 Sunday evening when Whitehouse (Ohio) Anthony Wayne prospect Mason Zimmerman made his decision final.
After visiting College Park for the first time just last weekend, the 6-foot-5, 275 pounder made it clear that the Terps were in a favorable position moving forward. However, even Zimmerman himself didn’t expect to be making a commitment just seven days later, which is a tribute to Randy Edsall, Greg Studrawa and the rest of the Maryland coaching staff.
“I took some visits this weekend to both Illinois and Northwestern,” Zimmerman said on Sunday evening. “Both of those visits went really well, I enjoyed both of those schools, but afterwards, when I was sitting in the car with my parents, I just knew that Maryland was definitely the choice I wanted to make.
Zimmerman will most likely play guard or center for the Terps. from rivals.com
