Seniors Maxine Fluharty, Katie Gerzabek and junior Sarah Sprink will serve as captains of the Maryland field hockey team for the 2014 season.
“Maxine, Katie and Sarah are a talented dynamic, hardworking leadership trio,” head coach Missy Meharg said. “The front field, the midfield, the backfield are represented by these NCAA/FIH experienced players. All have been honored by their leagues and all three represented their countries in the Junior World Cup. They understand that the way we train and prepare puts us in position to win championships in November.”
