The big story of the night however is the injury (sprained knee) to Manny Machado. Machado has batted 340 since his return from suspension and his movement back to the 2 position in the lineup has ignited the offense. I was at the game with Paul Robinson and he remarked to me after Davis entered the game at third base, that if this really the O’s year perhaps Davis will help win the game with a HR. Davis came through—off a left hander —to give the O’s a lead they never relinquished. We all await the report from the MRI tomorrow.
I was utterly shocked and saddened when getting a text during the O’s game that Robin Williams was found dead of an apparent suicide. Speechless.
