J.L. Reppert Hired as New Terrapin Offensive Coordinator

Head men’s lacrosse coach John Tillman announced today that J.L. Reppert has been hired as Maryland’s assistant coach.

“We are excited to have J.L. and his family join the Maryland lacrosse family,” said Tillman. “I have tremendous respect for him as a person, mentor and recruiter. He has been leading others for a long time and he has a strong willingness to express his convictions. I wanted our hire to bring a diverse background and be willing to challenge myself daily to find the best way to do things in all areas of our program. He is a very bright guy who believes in developing strong relationships. His character and work ethic are impeccable and he will be a positive influence on the young men in our program.

“J.L. will be a good fit in this position that Ryan Moran held for the past six seasons. Ryan did an outstanding job during his tenure and I want to thank him for everything he did. We will miss Ryan and wish nothing but the best for him and his family.”

“I want to thank Mr. Anderson and Coach Tillman for this opportunity,” said Reppert. “I would also like to thank Mr. Gladchuk and Coach Sowell for the opportunities they provided me at the Naval Academy the last three years. I am excited to join the University of Maryland and the Terrapin lacrosse program. It is an exciting time to be at Maryland as we enter the Big Ten.”

Reppert comes to College Park after spending the prior three seasons as an assistant coach at Navy. Reppert helped improve Navy’s shooting percentage immensely, jumping from 28th (.280) to 13th (.311) over the course of his first season in Annapolis.
