Breakfast Preview of the Big Ten Hoops Season

I was honored today to emcee the Breakfast at Westminister Hall on Fayette St featuring Mark Turgeon and Brenda Frese previewing the inaugural BIG 10 Season. Some of the highlights of the question and answer session:

Turgeon stressed the basketball maturity of Melo Trimble when I asked if he was ready to be the point guard.

Checko (Michal Cekovsky) has been working on playing with his back to the basket. Also he is very experienced coming from Europe.

Dez has an opportunity to be a 1st round pick if he leads Maryland to a strong season.

Backup point guard, Richaud Pack has more then held his own in the DC Kenner league over the summer.

Turgeon added the Oklahome State road game to get his team used to playing in hostile environments as it precedes the start of the Big 10 Season.

Turgeon raved about the work ethic and super attitude of Jonathan Graham.

Brenda talked about the strength of the team at the pint with Lexie Brown, Walker Kimborough, and Chloe Pavlech.

Both coaches spoke about the warm reception they have received from the other Big 10 Coaches.
