Melo saved the day last night as he finished with 24 points including 13-14 free throws, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and ONLY 1 TURNOVER in 31 minutes.
Dez as expected was sorely missed. Dez is always good for a few scoring spurts every game. They were missed last night.
Evan Smotrycz returned to the lineup last night and though very rusty (only 3 points) he still led the team with 6 rebounds.
Another good effort from Jared Nickens with 8 points on 3-5 shooting.
The Terps are now 6-0 and Monmouth is 2-3.
Next up is VMI (2-3) on Sunday night at 6PM. VMI likes to run and I guarantee 61 won’t get the job done.
