Did I really suffer through a 2nd crushing defeat in 2 days. Yes. The Maryland loss was much worse but the the Ravens loss was far more damaging. At the end of the year, it could well be the game that knocked the Ravens out of the playoffs. The Ravens now face 4 elimination games –a loss to any of our final 4 opponents would likely result in the end for the Ravens.
Lets face it, I don’t care what statistics say the Ravens secondary is the worst in the NFL. It seemed like every receiver was open all day.Defensive Coach Dean Pees must dial up a better plan then he had today. Fans were screaming about the 14 penalties but most were just desperate measures by the defense to stop the Chargers. Phil Rivers made mincemeat of the defense.
Here’s what really got me. The Ravens were 2nd and 5 from the Charger 14 yard line. They needed to score a TD to insure victory. Instead they ran a lame run by Dorsett and then a ridiculous attempt at a screen to Kyle Juszczyk. THEY HAD TO HAVE THE TD Because of the way Rivers was shredding the defense. Even on 4th anf 4 I said go for it. The clock was no factor. A six point lead would allow defeat which is what happened. Then for some inexplicable reason they wasted a timeout which also came back to haunt them. DARE TO WIN. The patriots went on 4th and 3 at midfield with plenty of time left. On 3rd and 3 Rodgers salted the game away with a pass. The Ravens always like to flex their muscles on 4th and 1 in the 1st half. But with probably the season on the line, they decided to play weak and lost.
SICKENING. WHAT A WEEKEND.

Johnny Football replace Hoyer and played well despite the Browns losing. Colt McCoy threw for 392 yards and 3TDs in a 49-27 loss at Indy.
The Steelers, and Browns both lost.
